Precision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a motivated and compassionate Medical Assistant to support our Pulmonary & Sleep Lab practice. This role is cross-trained in both front-office and back-office responsibilities and plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring efficient clinic operations.


Key Responsibilities


Clinical / Back Office Duties:

  • Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and medication lists
     
  • Assist providers with pulmonary and sleep-related exams and procedures
     
  • Perform EKGs, spirometry, pulse oximetry, and other diagnostic testing as trained
     
  • Prepare patients for sleep studies and provide patient education as needed
     
  • Administer injections and medications per provider orders (within scope)
     
  • Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and follow infection control protocols
     
  • Accurately document clinical information in the EMR
     

Front Office Duties:

  • Greet and check in patients in a courteous and professional manner
     
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments
     
  • Verify patient demographics and insurance information
     
  • Collect copays and assist with patient registration and forms
     
  • Answer incoming calls and route messages appropriately
Requirements:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
     
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
     
  • Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
     
  • Previous experience in pulmonary, sleep medicine, or specialty practice preferred (not required)
     
  • CPR/BLS certification required or obtained within designated timeframe
