Accounts Payable Coordinator

At Ascension Recovery Services, we build and support high-performing organizations that deliver meaningful impact. We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our growing Finance team.

Position Summary

The Accounts Payable Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor payments and employee reimbursements across multiple facilities. This position requires strong organizational skills, discretion with sensitive financial information, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multi-entity environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, code, and process invoices in accordance with company policies and cost-center allocations

  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly

  • Maintain vendor files and ensure accurate W-9 and compliance documentation

  • Process employee expense reports and verify policy adherence

  • Assist with weekly and monthly payment runs (ACH, check, electronic payments)

  • Monitor accounts payable aging reports and track outstanding liabilities

  • Support month-end close with A/P reconciliations and reporting

  • Communicate professionally with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve issues

  • Assist with audit preparation and documentation requests

  • Maintain accurate records within the accounting system

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; Associate degree in Accounting or Business preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience

  • Experience working in a multi-entity environment preferred

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups preferred)

  • Familiarity with accounting software systems

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Hybrid role based in Orlando, FL (location flexible if needed for the right candidate)

  • One (1) day per week in-office required

  • Standard business hours: Monday–Friday
