Forklift Operator

About the role:

The Forklift Operator is responsible for optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency as well as transporting valuable items which requires diligence and good hand-eye coordination. 

Roles/Tasks of the Position:

• Verify that glue barrels are being transferred safely by pallet. 

• Verify each table is adequately stocked with supplies for the day’s production. 

• Transporting materials to different locations within the facility. 

• Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency. 

• Securing loads to the machine before transportation. 

• Inspecting for damages to vehicles 

• Other duties as assigned. 

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Forklift Certificate Preferred

Physical Demands:

• Working in hot, humid environments.  

• Lifting of up to 50 pounds, bending, climbing (stairs and structures), and stooping. 

• Keyboarding/typing. 

• Ability to read effectively from a computer screen and/or paper copy. 

• Ability to manage a large volume of work and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. 

Prerequisites/Requirements:

• Negative 10 panel urinalysis and breath alcohol test.
• Valid Driver's License and Proof of U.S. Citizenship.
• Background check.
