About this position

Under the supervision and direction of a pharmacist, conducts wide range of delegated technical support functions including clinical, office, and clerical support. Assigned responsibilities may include any functions necessary to support provision of pharmacy products and services to patients and other staff and departments.

This position is for a healthcare clinic located in Galesburg, Illinois. The Pharmacy Technician will support daily pharmacy operations in a telepharmacy setting and collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care. Candidates should be comfortable working independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication skills and a proactive work ethic are essential for success in this role. What are the minimum requirements?

  • Possession of active, non-restricted national pharmacy technician certification.
  • State of Illinois Pharmacy Technician License.
  • Retail pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and interruptions simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
  • Supporting pharmacological services by assembling, stocking and distributing medications

    • Maintaining records by recording and filing the prescriptions and orders of Physicians

    • Sorting, stocking and labeling medications and monitoring inventory

    • Responding to the requests of patients and healthcare providers, answering their questions and referring various inquiries to the Pharmacist

    • Complying with rules, regulations and procedures to help maintain a clean and safe pharmacy, such as by sterilizing equipment and surfaces

    • Processing prescriptions electronically and ensuring all information is accurate and complete

    • Undertaking administrative tasks such as record-keeping as assigned by a Physician or facility manager from time to time



    Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

    Experience:
  • Retail Pharmacy technician: 1 year (Preferred)

    License/Certification:
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification CPhT (Required)
  • State of Illinois Pharmacy Technician license Location: One location

Salary Information

$18.0 - $21.0 Hourly Wage
