Position Title: Operations Logistics Intern

Reports To: Logistics Manager/Operations Manager

FLSA: Non-Exempt


Position Summary:

The Operations Logistics Intern will support daily operational functions by assisting with transportation cost analysis, lane optimization, and time studies. This role is designed for individuals who enjoy working with data, observing workflow patterns, and contributing to efficiency improvements across the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transportation Cost Support: Analyze freight invoices, identify cost discrepancies, and maintain updated cost tracking reports.

• Lane Optimization: Review shipment data, evaluate routing efficiency, and support carrier performance analysis.

• Operational Time Studies: Conduct time studies on warehouse and production tasks, document cycle times, and identify bottlenecks.

• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain organized datasets, prepare summary reports, and support the creation of SOPs tied to operational improvements.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.

• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).

• Comfortable working both in office and on the operations floor.

• Detail-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills.

• Experience with visualization tools is a plus.
