About this position

  

The SIOP Analyst supports plant-level execution of the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process by managing production planning, inventory controls (min/max), shop order release/maintenance, and inbound/outbound logistics coordination. This role partners closely with Production, Purchasing, Customer Service, suppliers, and customers to ensure material availability, accurate ERP transactions, and on-time shipment execution.


Key Responsibilities


Production & Inventory Planning

  • Own plant-level production planning activities to support service, inventory, and capacity objectives.
  • Maintain and manage min/max parameters and replenishment triggers to support inventory availability and turns.
  • Create, release, and manage production shop orders, including updates for schedule changes, substitutions, and priorities.
  • Monitor WIP, finished goods, and raw material levels; identify risks and propose actions to prevent shortages/excess.

ERP Execution & Transaction Accuracy

  • Use appropriate tools to maintain planning data, execute transactions, and ensure system integrity.
  • Process and validate inventory receipts (raw materials, components, and/or finished goods as applicable).
  • Ensure accurate inventory movements, cycle count support, and root-cause follow-up for discrepancies.

Logistics & Shipment Coordination

  • Coordinate planned shipments to meet customer delivery requirements, working with shipping/warehouse and customer      contacts.
  • Manage logistics communication and follow-up with suppliers and customers (delivery appointments, ETAs, delays, expediting).
  • Support freight coordination as needed (carrier scheduling, documentation, shipment status updates).

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work daily with plant operations to align production schedules with material availability and shipment commitments.
  • Communicate constraints, priorities, and recovery plans clearly and proactively.

Requirements

  

Qualifications 

  • 2+ years of experience in production planning, inventory planning, logistics, or supply chain (manufacturing/plant      environment strongly preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems(creating/managing shop orders, receipts, inventory transactions, planning      parameters).
  • Working knowledge of min/max inventory planning and basic MRP concepts.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting SIOP/IBP processes (demand/supply alignment, inventory targets, constraint management).
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data validation; Power Query a plus).
  • Familiarity with cycle counting and inventory accuracy initiatives.
  • Experience coordinating domestic freight / carrier scheduling.
  • Proactive shipment planning and communication that reduces expediting and customer escalations.


Work Schedule

  • Monday - Thursday
  • 10-Hour Shifts
  • Three-day Weekends every week

Paid Holidays & Time Off

  • One week paid holiday shutdown between Christmas and New Year's
  • One week paid holiday shutdown for the July 4th holiday
