Warehouse Clerk

Position Summary:

The Warehouse Clerk will assist the Warehouse Coordinator in the day-to-day operations of the warehouse.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect truck upon arrival for cleanliness and temperature.
• Review purchase orders for pickups to ensure accuracy.
• Load product on truck make sure it is wrapped correctly.
• Record temperatures tale number on special orders when required.
• Inspect deliveries for accuracy in the following areas: labels, ingredients, equipment, boxes, etc.
• Record received items on ingredient sheet if it has direct contact with cheese.
• Inspect labels once they are delivered.
• Review delivery from driver against paperwork
• Inspect received items for damage and report immediately.
• Ensure items received are stored in the correct area.
• Assist in preparation of all shipping orders.
• Conduct inventory as required.
• Implement FIFO for inventory.
• Flexibility to work weekends as needed.
• Follow instructions given by Manager.
• Performs other duties as directed.

• Work with accuracy and attention to detail.

Education & Experience:

• Experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Forklift certified, or ability to obtain forklift certification within 30 days of hire.

Desired Qualifications:

• Ability to drive Forklift and use Pallet Jack.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

The physical requirements listed are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions and key responsibilities of this position, with or without accommodation.

Frequent operation of forklift. The ability to stand in one place for long periods of time. Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, lift, twist, pull, push, carry, grasp, reach and stoop as needed, and to frequently lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.  Exposure to different environments including heat and cold.
