Position Summary
At Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay, we pair youth with caring adult mentors to help them reach their full potential. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Program Coordinator to support our matches and community partners while advancing our mission.
The School-to-Work program is a 2-year program for high school students where they are matched with a professional mentor and go to the workplace one time a month to meet with their mentor. The Program Coordinator is responsible for guiding and supporting each match to ensure success. In addition, the coordinator will help identify goals to help each youth successfully transition out of high school.
The Program Coordinator is also responsible for building positive relationships with schools and workplace partners. This position may cover schools/partners in surrounding counties.

Qualifications
- Candidate must have a high school diploma/GED equivalent and meet one of the following criteria:
- A documented bachelor’s degree, from an accredited college or university, in human service, social work, counselling, child development or related field. Or the candidate shall be within six months of degree completion.
- A documented associate degree or two years of higher education experience, from an accredited college or university in human service, social work, counselling, child development, or related field. Plus, two years of relevant work experience in related fields.
- Four years of relevant work experience in related fields, such as social work, counseling, social services, child development, or other related fields as defined by the agency.
- Preferred 2- years’ experience working with teens or volunteers.
- Experience building partnerships and linking resources.
- Demonstrate Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Power Point and Excel.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of licensed driving experience is required, as driving is an essential function of this position. Candidates must possess a valid Florida driver’s license, maintain an acceptable driving record in accordance with agency standards, and provide proof of current automobile insurance.
- Must have dependable transportation.
- Proficiency in technical areas such as: Microsoft OFFICE, including Work, Outlook, and Excel. Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and meet state required automobile insurance minimums.
