Pay Range: $33.54-$50.29 per hour based on experience and qualifications (eligible for shift differentials).


Shift Differentials:

Weekday Nights - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - 7:00 pm - 7:00 am - $3.00 per hour

Weekend Days - Saturday, Sunday - 7:00 am - 7:00 pm - $3.50 per hour

Weekend Nights - Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 7:00 pm - 7:00 am - $5.00 per hour


Sign-on Bonus: $3,000


 As an RN Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for the organization, coordination, and evaluation of direct nursing care for assigned patients. You will play a key role in promoting a safe, therapeutic, and patient-focused environment while supporting our mission, vision, and values. 


Essential Job Function:

  • Supervise, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care
  • Administer medications and monitor patients for reactions or side effects 
  • Conduct daily patient visits to assess physical and emotional status 
  • Perform routine skin assessments and wound documentation 
  • Maintain accurate, detailed documentation in the electronic medical record 
  • Review and transcribe physician orders as needed 
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences 
  • Coordinate discharge planning and provide patient/family education 
  • Advocate for patients and assist in resolving care-related concerns 
  • Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards 
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assigned committees 
  • Review incident reports and implement acute temporary care plans 
  • Support resolution of patient nutritional concerns 
  • Complete required continuing education and in-service training
Requirements:

  Minimum Required Education/Experience: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited learning institution. Minimum of three years work experience in direct nursing care is preferred. 

Pre-Employment Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

• Demonstrated knowledge, skill and understanding of nurse role in a critical care facility.

• Knowledge of gerontology, rehabilitative or psychiatric nursing.

• Ability to operate general office equipment including computer software applications (e-mail, surveillance equipment/cameras, scheduling software, accessing required documents).

• Demonstrated ability to recognize and respond to opportunities for improvement through continual learning, changes in approach based on situation and professional practice behavior.

• Knowledge of care-based practices (creating care plans, leading team meetings).

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the public, other agencies, employees and administration.

Note: An acceptable combination of education, training and experience that provides the above knowledge, abilities and skills may be substituted.

Necessary Special Requirements: Must obtain annual flu vaccination and any job-specific immunizations. Required to complete Tuberculosis testing/screening.

Licenses or Certificates:  Valid state license as an RN. Current Basic Life Support/CPR certification. 

Unusual Demands: Work is subject to recurring and inflexible deadlines and frequent interruptions.
