Smart Coin® uniquely blends collectible appeal with advanced NFC technology, enhancing customer and attendee engagement for major corporate events, nonprofit fundraising, and various industry applications.

Internship Role & Responsibilities: The Business Marketing Intern will play a critical role in expanding the reach and impact of Gray Water Ops® and Smart Coin®. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and has a passion for marketing, business growth, and innovation. Responsibilities include:

  • Market Research & Lead Generation:
    • Identify and research target industries (trade shows, conferences, festivals, sports teams, universities, nonprofits, corporate events).
    • Compile detailed information on potential leads and key decision-makers.
  • Outreach & Relationship Building:
    • Draft tailored introductory emails and outreach communications to potential clients.
    • Maintain and manage follow-up communications and relationship nurturing.
  • Promotional Strategy Development:
    • Assist in creating engaging marketing campaigns leveraging Smart Coin®’s NFC capabilities.
    • Develop creative ideas for Smart Coin® applications tailored to specific industries and potential client needs.
  • Nonprofit Case Study Collaboration:
    • Support the ongoing initiative to validate the Theory of Donor Dedication™.
    • Assist in identifying potential corporate sponsors to fund nonprofit case studies.
    • Coordinate outreach to secure sponsorships, ensuring alignment with corporate social responsibility goals.
  • Tracking & Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of research, outreach, and response tracking.
    • Participate in regular progress reviews and strategy sessions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Current student enrolled at Harrisburg University, preferably in Business, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, or related fields.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong organizational and research skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM software is a plus.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
