Job Summary: The Immigration Paralegal is responsible for preparing and managing a high volume of immigration cases under attorney supervision, providing top-tier client service, and ensuring timely, accurate submission of immigration filings. This role is vital to the firm’s mission of delivering successful outcomes in family-based, humanitarian, and employment-based immigration matters. What You’ll do:
- Draft, prepare, and file USCIS and EOIR petitions/applications (e.g., I-130, I-485, I-601A, N-400, I-589, DS-260).Organize supporting documentation and prepare evidence packets.Maintain detailed and accurate client records in the case management system (e.g., Clio, Docketwise).Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction.Track deadlines and respond promptly to USCIS Requests for Evidence (RFEs) and Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs).Coordinate with translators, expert witnesses, and other third parties as needed.Conduct legal research on statutes, case law, and agency guidance as directed.
- Bachelor’s Degree or ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate.2+ years of experience in immigration law preferred.Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Portuguese) strongly preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and case management software.Detail-oriented with excellent writing and communication skills.
