About this position

Assist both Level I and II radiographers in day to day responsibilities on castings to ensure that they meet internal and external customer quality requirements as well as perform MT inspector duties.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily set ups of castings for radiography with appropriate identification, location, and penetrameters.
  • Organize the X-ray areas in front of the large and small cells.
  • Daily load and unload castings in and out of shooting cell using overhead crane and casting carts.
  • Perform MT Inspections.
  • Perform Grinding duties when not needed in the x-ray department. 
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor or lead person. 


Start to Learn

  • Perform radiography on castings as indicated by customer specification or internal requirements.
  • Interpret radiographs and either accept or reject castings based on customers’ specifications.
  • Daily mark up castings showing type and location of defects identified on film.
  • Weekly develop radiographic techniques to meet quality specifications of new work or modifications on existing work.
  • Daily proess and develop radiographic film.

Salary Information

$20 - $26.3 Hourly Wage

Requirements

Basic Math; Basic Reading (customer specification drawings, work instructions); Basic Writing (data input, record keeping). Industrial radiography experience or training.
