The role of the Receiving Supervisor is to oversee the receiving, transferring, and tagging of products while ensuring the smooth operation of the Donahoo Warehouse Receiving Department. This position requires strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and effective leadership to maintain the integrity of data, which is essential for operational success. Responsibilities are prioritized according to a hierarchy of tasks established by the manager, allowing the position to operate with a level of autonomy, in partnership with store needs, the timeliness of order receipts, and the overall schedule for receiving items. While the Receiving Supervisor is the main point of contact for receiving products shipping to the warehouse, collaboration is key, and assistance may be required during urgent situations.

Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of warehousing, inventory management, order fulfillment and distribution.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of warehousing, inventory management, order fulfillment and distribution.
- Possesses technological acumen including strengths in data management and point of sale (POS) systems, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively and efficiently.
Essential Functions:
- Work in varying weather conditions including hot, cold, wet or dry environments.
- Work on a variety of surfaces including, but not limited to, gravel, concrete, mud, or dirt.
- This position routinely requires employees to individually lift, carry, and maneuver heavy or awkward items that may exceed 50 pounds. Employees must use proper lifting techniques, follow all training and safety procedures, and exercise sound judgment when determining whether a load can be handled safely. When an item is too heavy, bulky, or unstable to lift alone, employees are expected to request assistance or use available mechanical aids to prevent injury.
- Must be available to work 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., five days per week (typically Monday–Friday). Flexibility to work additional hours, including occasional extended shifts or a sixth day during peak business periods, is required as workload demands.
- Stand and walk on your feet for multiple hours at a time with breaks as required by law.
- Receive products and enter new items as instructed by leadership.
- Operate effectively in a high-paced setting involving various individuals and teams.
- Print tags, maintain accurate item numbers and UPC Maintenance and Data Cleanup.
- Execute Inter-store transfers.
Key Expectations:
Leadership- Lead receiving processes and procedures for outgoing product at Donahoo Warehouse to achieve efficient receiving, accurate data, and smooth product flow.
- Management-Oversee core processes involving POS systems, receiving, tagging and transferring products.
- Accountability-Communicate promptly and efficiently with all departments and locations.
Additional Expectations:
- Review receiving emails and communicate effectively using the Teams app and other programs as directed by leadership.
- Maintain awareness of incoming products and their status in the receiving process.
- Unpack and check incoming freight for accuracy and condition.
- Report any order, packing slip, or invoice discrepancies to Shipping and Receiving Manager and Buyers, and assist in resolving issues such as damage, shortages, or overages.
- Report breakage, shortages, and overages to vendors as needed.
- Collaborate with Buyers and Merchandisers to ensure products are ready to display.
- Collaborate with Warehouse Lead regarding warehouse order processing and receiving.
- Communicate with Warehouse Lead and Production Coordinators regarding packing and shipment of products going to the stores.
- Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Execute correct tag procedure (location on product and what type of tag), scan barcodes for accuracy prior to tagging product, and various other receiving tasks.
- Enter shrinkage and store use in VMX when appropriate.
- Assist with warehouse inventory processes as needed.
- Safely and proficiently operate various equipment including electric and manual pallet jacks, forklift and pallet wrapper.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in receiving areas, including the warehouse, greenhouse, parking lot, and retail stores.
- Answer phone calls professionally and courteously.
- Possess knowledge of cashier and register procedures.
- Manage ordering of price gun and tag machine supplies.
- Perform various other tasks as directed by leadership.
- Assist on the Production side of the Donahoo Farm which may include assisting with inventory, flagging, pulling orders, planting or other tasks as designated that day.
- Assist with unloading large shipments that require extra man power to aid in efficiency and getting trucks off the warehouse dock in a timely manner.
