About this position
Description:
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates all activities necessary to complete & maintain the facilities.
- Completes routine and preventative building/equipment/playground maintenance and repairs and informs supervisor of other needs.
- Participates in the annual self-assessment of the facilities.
- Coordinates with maintenance/custodial staff for building supplies and reports to supervisor.
- Trains and supports new maintenance / custodial staff.
- Conducts routine inspections of all facilities including playgrounds.
- Keeps grounds clean including cutting grass and removing snow and ice
- from sidewalks in front and rear of buildings.
- Assembles furniture and playground equipment.
- Unloads in-kind delivery truck and assists in distribution.
- Hauls and moves furniture as needed.
- Maintains equipment and keeps in working order.
- Performs other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or other management as required.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Cleans and sanitizes doorknobs, handrails, and other commonly used public areas.
- Follows the program procedures relating to confidentiality.
- Mandated Child Abuse/Neglect reporter
- Must pass tri-annual physical exam and must meet vaccination requirements set by funding sources. (Required)
- TB screening. (Required)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. repeatedly
- Possess basic knowledge and ability for handling common electrical tasks.
- Possess basic knowledge and ability for handling common plumbing tasks.
- Ability to drive and operate a class A box truck and liftgate.
- Ability to operate ¾ ton pickup truck with snowplow.
- Basic understanding of custodial and maintenance duties.
- Pediatric First Aid and CPR Certification.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED. (Required)
- At least one year of experience in maintaining a house, apartment, and/or property. (Required)
- At least one year of experience in building maintenance. (Required)
- Current PA Driver’s License and reliable transportation. (Required)
- Free of Child Abuse/Neglect history as verified by proper authorities prior to employment. (Required)
- Must obtain Child Abuse, PA State Police, FBI Fingerprinting and NSOR Clearances prior to starting employment. (Required)
- Must meet vaccination requirements set by funding sources.
