Lake Regional Health System is looking for a dedicated, professional CT Technologist to join our team. With our state-of-the-art hospital and network of clinics, therapy sites, and pharmacies, Lake Regional offers a wide range of employment opportunities in our community.
A CT technologist uses computed tomography (X-ray) equipment to take images of a patient’s body from different angles. Their work helps locate internal injuries and diagnose diseases. CT technologists prepare patients for exams by answering their questions and positioning them for minimal radiation exposure.
Responsibilities and Expectations:

Operate CT equipment and accessories
Perform tube warm-ups and daily QC
Apply principles of radiation protection at all times, practice ALARA
Prepare the patients for the procedures by providing clear instructions and answering questions to minimize anxiety
Select appropriate scan protocols
Position the patient to scan the area of interest according to their ability and comfort, immobilize if required
Transporting patients to and from the department
Follow sterilization procedures
Handling of hazardous materials and preventing cross contamination
Cleaning equipment and taking inventory and restocking
Performing aseptic techniques according to established standard of care and infection control
Administering contrast materials
Follow established policies and procedures
Take patient history prior to the exam
Perform additional duties if asked by management
Supervise and guide new staff into their job description by providing training with regular checks, direction and qualified work samples
Need to be flexible with the schedule and reliable
Have required proper permits and licenses per state or country
Scheduled various shifts and days of the week as necessary to efficiently and effectively provide services
Able to transport self through the department and hospital
Must be able to stand, stoop, lift, push and pull without restrictions
Heavy lifting is required at times, carrying objects weighing up to 35lbs

Completion of Radiologic Technology program
Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Certified in CT, within 12 months of hire - Required
An annual influenza vaccine required
