We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Designer to join our team.
LANDSCAPE DESIGNER
Job Overview:
Responsible for accurately assessing project requirements, estimating costs, conducting on site visits, and preparing proposals for landscape projects.
Responsibilities:
- Confirm measurements, create plant lists, and determine materials required for the project. Estimate various services (sod repair, slit-seeding, drainage, eavestrough cleaning, weed control).
- Prepare estimates, proposals and maintain accurate records of project costs and profitability.
- Conduct site visits.
- Measure and take required elevations of sites.
- Collaborate with client’s other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Obtain locates and permits as necessary. Ensure data integrity in provided software systems.
- Generate reports summarizing project costs, profitability, and potential risks.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Landscape Design (degree or diploma) or Horticulture Technician required
- Previous experience in landscape construction or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of landscape construction materials, plant identification and industry standards.
- Experience with AutoCad is preferred.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and drawings.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
