Program Overview

If so, come join the Edmonton North Primary Care Network as a CII/CPAR Panel Management Assistant (PMA).


The Community Information Integration/ Central Patient Attachment Registry (CII/CPAR) is a system that enables sharing of select patient information between community Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), and other members of a patient’s care team through Alberta Netcare.


Working alongside other members of the Physician Practice Supports (PPS) Team, the CPAR PMA will ensure that CPAR processes for confirming attachment and resolving conflicts and demographic mismatches within physician panels are widely understood and consistently followed.

The CPAR Panel Management Assistant will endeavor to keep physician and nurse practitioner panels accurate within in the electronic medical record system (EMR).

This role is based out of the Edmonton Community Health Hub location but will function predominately in clinic offices.

Position

CPAR Panel Management Assistants support the Medical Home of our family physicians and health care providers through optimizing the use of electronic medical records (EMR) and Netcare.

CPAR Panel Management Assistants improve patient care through managing demographic mismatches and clearing conflicts between family physicians or between nurse practitioners. The CPAR PMA is responsible to ensure the smooth transfer of information between the EMR and Netcare, to promote improved continuity of care and stronger patient-health care provider relationships.


Report to

Manager, Quality and Community Engagement

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of Medical Office Assistant or Administration Program required

Experience

  • Knowledge of CII/CPAR and the Patient’s Medical Home
  • 3-5 years' experience working with a EMR’s (Healthquest, Med Access, AVA, CHR, etc.)
  • Minimum of three (3) years of clinical reception or Medical Office Assistant experience
  • Experience with Panel Identification, Maintenance and Management
  • Experience with physician’s clinical screening needs is an asset
  • Proficient in Office 365 applications, including Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, and Word, with the ability to utilize these tools effectively for communication, collaboration, and document management.
