We are a physician-owned and operated family practice with two thriving locations in San Antonio, seeking a compassionate and experienced Board-Certified Physician Assistant to join our team. As a Physician Assistant in our practice, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to a diverse patient population. You’ll work closely with our lead physician and Quality team to ensure comprehensive and compassionate treatment for every patient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct physical examinations, obtain and review medical histories, and diagnose/treat acute and chronic conditions.
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans, prescribe medications, and order/interpret diagnostic tests.
- Provide patient education and counseling on preventive care, chronic disease management, and wellness strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
- Stay current with medical advancements and best practices through continuing education and professional development.
- Maintain proficiency in CMS charting requirements and collaborate with the billing team to ensure accurate documentation.
- Continuously enhance clinical expertise in alignment with patient needs and practice goals.
Qualifications:
- Board-certified Physician Assistant with active Texas licensure.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in family medicine or primary care preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Manual dexterity to operate medical instruments and electronic medical record system (eClinicalWorks).
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds as needed.
- Visual and auditory acuity to assess patient conditions and respond to clinical needs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining attention to detail and patient safety.
