Summary

This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and mechanical knowledge, as well as the ability to perform tasks related to concrete installation and finishing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport Concrete: Safely operate a concrete mixer truck to transport ready-mix concrete from the batching plant to various sites across the region.
  • Concrete Delivery: Ensure that concrete is delivered at the correct time, at the proper mix, and to the correct location on the job site.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the truck to ensure it is in good working condition. Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and upkeep of the vehicle.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to ensure safe operations during transport and unloading of concrete.
  • Customer Service: Interact with construction site personnel to ensure smooth delivery, answer questions, and resolve any issues that may arise during delivery.
  • Documentation: Complete and maintain delivery tickets, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork following company and legal requirements.
  • Monitoring Concrete Quality: Ensure that the delivered concrete meets the required specifications and is free from contamination or mix errors.
  • Communication: Communicate regularly with the dispatcher to update delivery times, address potential issues, and receive new job assignments.
  • Assist in digging, paving, and installation tasks on-site as needed.
  • Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate deliveries and support project timelines.
Requirements:

Skills & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with appropriate endorsements, such as a Class A or B CDL.
  • Clean background and motor vehicle report.
  • Previous experience driving a large vehicle, preferably a concrete mixer truck, is preferred.
  • Strong driving skills and knowledge of road safety.
  • Ability to operate and maneuver large trucks and equipment.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail to ensure proper concrete delivery and quality.
  • Ability to work early mornings, late hours, and weekends if necessary.

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
  • Physical activity required, including loading and unloading concrete, climbing in and out of the truck, and operating machinery.
  • May be required to work overtime during peak periods.


Salary Information

$20.00 - $25.00 Hourly Wage
