We are seeking a dynamic, hospitality-minded Executive Director to lead day-to-day operations, drive census growth, inspire high-performing teams, and serve as the face of the community to families, partners, and ownership. This is a full P&L leadership role with meaningful growth opportunity inside a rapidly expanding senior living organization.

What you’ll lead

As Executive Director, you are the steward of the entire community experience.

Operational & Financial Leadership

  • Full P&L responsibility, including budget adherence and occupancy performance
     
  • Oversee all day-to-day community operations and department leaders
     
  • Drive census growth through strong operations, reputation, and community presence
     

People & Culture

  • Hire, coach, evaluate, and retain a high-performing leadership team
     
  • Create a culture of accountability, warmth, professionalism, and teamwork
     
  • Ensure compliance with HR standards and best practices for performance management
     

Resident Experience & Safety

  • Foster a vibrant, supportive, and enjoyable lifestyle for residents
     
  • Maintain a safe, compliant environment for residents, families, and staff
     
  • Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and family engagement
     

Compliance & Community Presence

  • Operate in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
     
  • Represent the community professionally to families, referral partners, and ownership

Requirements:

 

What we’re looking for

  • Active California RCFE License (Required) 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Gerontology, Healthcare Administration, or related field)  
  • 3+ years of senior living operations leadership with demonstrated financial success  
  • Strong change-management and team-building skills  
  • Proven ability to lead through growth, complexity, and accountability  
  • Comfortable with systems and reporting (Outlook, Excel, Word, Yardi, PCC)  
  • Hospitality mindset with operational discipline  

Physical & work environment

  • Active leadership role with frequent walking, standing, and community presence  
  • Occasional lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs. with assistance  
  • Work occurs both indoors and outdoors; some travel may be required


Salary Information

$140000.00 - $150000.00 Annual Salary
