We are seeking a motivated, hands-on Instrument Technician—also known in some industries as an Electronics Technician or Calibration Technician—who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a proactive mindset to troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate a wide range of electronic instruments and analytical equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure long-term reliability and accuracy.
- Provide telephone-based technical support for hardware/software setup, diagnostics, and configuration.
- Assist with firmware upgrades and technical support documentation.
- Conduct occasional in-house training on equipment operation, maintenance, and calibration procedures.
- Maintain accurate service records and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and customer service teams.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational goals.
Required:
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in a technical role such as Instrument Technician, Electronics Technician, or Calibration Technician.
- Strong hands-on skills with digital multimeters (DMM), oscilloscopes, and soldering (through-hole and SMT); familiarity with RoHS soldering is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows OS and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and documentation skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Highly organized and committed to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred:
- Associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role involving instrumentation, electronics repair, calibration, or technical support.
- Familiarity with RoHS soldering standards.
- Experience working in a regulated or quality-controlled environment
