Field Service Technician - Heavy Equipment

Great Southern Equipment is a full line distributor supplying heavy and compact equipment across the State of Florida. We opened our doors in 1960 and have grown to 7 locations servicing all of Florida with the following product lines: Hitachi, Linkbelt, Liebherr, Vacall, Gradall, Sakai, & Kaiser.

Responsible for repair and maintenance of customer and company owned heavy equipment at the branch and in the field at customer sites

• Repair and maintain heavy equipment at our facilities and in the field
• Communicate with customers
• Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics
• Desire to learn
• Document time and notations from jobs

• Other duties as assigned by management

• Valid driver’s license and must meet General Liability driving requirements in order to operate a company vehicle when necessary.
• Pass a DOT physical
• Lift parts (10-100 lbs) regularly
• Have own tools necessary to complete jobs
• Operation of forklift required
• Climbing stairs/ladders to reach all portions of equipment
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to travel as needed for jobs and schooling
• The position of Field Service Technician is classified as a safety-sensitive position.
