At Dead Freddies Island Grill, bussers are the backbone of the ship, keeping tables turning, service flowing, and the restaurant running smoothly in a high-volume, fast-paced pirate environment. This role requires speed, awareness, teamwork, and hustle — all while maintaining a clean, organized, and guest-ready dining space that supports both the team and the overall guest experience.
The Busser is responsible for clearing and resetting tables quickly and efficiently, assisting with food and beverage delivery, maintaining cleanliness throughout dining areas, and supporting servers and bartenders to ensure smooth service during busy shifts. You’ll help keep service areas stocked, remove dishes and drinkware, maintain sanitation standards, and assist with opening and closing duties to keep operations running at full speed. This position plays a key role in maintaining pace during peak volume and ensuring guests experience fast, seamless service from arrival to departure.

- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in changing weather conditions.
- Clear, clean, and reset tables quickly and efficiently to maintain table turnover.
- Remove dirty dishes, drinkware, and utensils promptly.
- Deliver food and beverages to guests as needed to support service flow.
- Assist servers and bartenders during busy periods to maintain smooth operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout dining areas.
- Wipe tables, chairs, booths, and surrounding areas to ensure guest-ready spaces.
- Assist dish staff with scraping, stacking, and transporting dishes when needed.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean spills to maintain safety and sanitation standards.
- Remove trash and recycling and replace liners as needed.
- Complete opening and closing duties for the shift.
- Follow all company policies, sanitation standards, and safety procedures.
