Program Overview
The DOS PMO ESDA Program supports the U.S. Department of State, Global Acquisitions (GA) on a high‑visibility modernization initiative consolidating fragmented governance, sourcing, and platform support into a unified Integrated EDSA Governance & Shared Services Team. This program streamlines decision‑making, enhances transparency, and accelerates technology delivery across ServiceNow, SharePoint, Power Platform, and procurement analytics.
Job Description:
The Senior Solution Engineer (Integration Developer) will design and implement cross‑platform integrations and automated workflows that streamline GA operations, serving as the team’s flexible “swing” resource to support whichever technical platform has the highest priority.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary Integration Developer, focused on building and maintaining APIs and automated workflows across GA systems.
- Develop Power Automate solutions that connect ServiceNow, SharePoint Online, and external data sources.
- Act as the Shared Services Team’s “swing resource”, shifting to the highest‑priority platform (ServiceNow, SharePoint, Power Platform) as workloads fluctuate.
- Troubleshoot integration issues, optimize performance, and ensure secure and reliable data transfer between systems.
- Collaborate closely with the Technical Lead / Architect to implement enterprise design patterns and reusable integration components.
- Support Fit/Gap assessments and ensure workflows leverage OOTB capabilities whenever possible.
- Contribute to sprint ceremonies, backlog refinement, and governance‑driven prioritization processes.
- Produce documentation, job aids, and integration diagrams for maintainability and platform governance compliance.
Required:
- Experience with API integrations, system connectors, or workflow automation.
- Hands‑on experience with Power Automate or similar low‑code automation tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot cross‑system workflows and data issues.
- Strong understanding of secure integration practices.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred:
- Experience integrating ServiceNow, SharePoint, or Power Platform systems.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and Azure integration services.
- Prior federal consulting or enterprise modernization experience.
