Warehouse Associate (Food Distribution, Cold Chain)

Job Title: Warehouse Associate 

Location: Premier Food Supplies, Michigan 

Job Type: Full-Time, Day Shift (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

Position Summary: We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our operations team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accurate and timely handling of inventory and shipments. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-minded, and committed to supporting smooth warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments
• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer and internal orders
• Load and unload with manual or delivery trucks using  equipment
• Maintain organized and clearly labeled inventory storage areas
• Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies
• Follow established safety protocols and warehouse procedures
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks
• Keep the warehouse clean, orderly, and free of hazards
• Assist with other duties and projects as assigned by the Warehouse Manager

Working Conditions:

• Climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled warehouse environments.
• Exposure to noise, dust, and moving machinery.

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred but not required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods
• Basic math and computer skills for inventory tracking
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Forklift certification is a plus (training may be provided). 
• Previous experience in cold, freezing, or hot warehouse temperatures. (Preferred but not required).
