Job Summary
The Employee Engagement Specialist is responsible for designing and implementing programs to improve workplace culture, employee satisfaction, and connection to the company. Ultimately boosting productivity and retention by creating clear communication, and a positive work environment through activities like surveys, recognition programs, and training; they serve as a key link between employees and the KACI culture goals.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Develops and assists in implementing strategies to enhance motivation, satisfaction, and engagement.
- Ensures company goals and values are understood by employees.
- Works to improve internal communication, with all employees, across all shifts.
- Conducts employee stay and exit interviews; analyzes the data trends and areas for improvement.
- Assists in managing employee initiatives such as wellness, team building, and recognition programs.
- Partners with the HR team; aligning engagement efforts with broader HR strategies and business objectives.
- Tracks key metrics and reports on program status and engagement KPIs.
- Types and proofreads routine correspondence, reports, and manuals for the department.
- Creates and distributes postings and announcements across a variety of platforms.
- Arrange for meetings or conferences and may take notes, set up snacks, and lunches.
- Post legal compliance material.
- Orders office and printer supplies, employee logo wear, and employee engagement items.
- Place and pick up orders from local vendors, as needed.
- Possess a genuine interest in creating a positive work environment.
- Good judgement, organization, and planning skills.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
Education & Experience Required
- High school diploma plus administrative and/or secretarial experience.
- Excellent telephone skills and etiquette.
- Professionalism in dealing with customers, managers, and co-workers. Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
- Knowledge Microsoft Office.
- Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be good at organizing and time management.
- Ability to maintain highly confidential data, materials and records.
- Ability to work effectively with both employees and managers.
- Ability to project a positive image to the public and employees.
