UNIT SUMMARY: The Observation unit at Northwest Hospital is a 20-bed unit that cares for a diverse mix of diagnoses. Most patients stay on this unit for less than 24 hours. Nurses on this unit specialize in telemetry, stroke, and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS).
JOB SUMMARY: Provides safe, age-appropriate patient care and functions as advisor and resource for patients and their families as a member of the patient care team.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field.
- Bachelor's of Nursing preferred from CCNE accredited schools.
- Less than 1 year of experience.
- Maryland Registered Nurse License
- American Heart Association CPR Certification
