Position Summary
The Pool Service Technician I is an entry-level field role responsible for performing routine pool maintenance, assisting with repairs, and supporting daily service operations. This position plays a key role in completing pool openings, closings, cleanings, and basic equipment service for residential customers.
This is a hands-on, outdoor role ideal for mechanically inclined individuals looking to build technical skills in the pool service industry.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine pool maintenance including:
Vacuuming, brushing, skimming, and basket cleaning
Pool openings and closings
Filter cleaning and basic equipment checks
Test and adjust water chemistry to maintain proper balance
Assist with basic equipment repairs (pumps, filters, heaters, plumbing)
Identify and report leaks or equipment issues requiring advanced repair
Operate service vehicles safely and maintain organized equipment
Complete service tickets accurately and in a timely manner
Communicate professionally with customers regarding service performed
Follow all safety protocols and chemical handling procedures
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Ability to lift 50–75 lbs regularly
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Mechanical aptitude
Strong work ethic and reliability
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Preferred Qualifications
Previous pool service or construction experience
Basic understanding of water chemistry
Experience using power tools and diagnostic equipment
Customer service experience
Physical Requirements
Frequent lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing
Working outdoors in heat, cold, and varying weather
Handling pool chemicals safely
