About the role

This is a part-time role responsible for writing, editing, and maintaining high-quality marketing and business communications, with a clear focus on copy-proofing and quality assurance to ensure accuracy, consistency, and brand compliance across deliverables.

 

The copywriter plays a central role in delivering clear, compelling, and brand-aligned written content that supports educational product marketing and user engagement. Working across multiple formats, web, digital, print, video, and interface design the Copywriter helps to ensure that every message reflects the organization’s voice and strategic positioning.

 

On any given project, the Copywriter delivers creative content solutions that promote products and services, guide users, and influence decision-making. This includes drafting, reviewing, and refining copy for websites, email campaigns, product descriptions, advertisements, video scripts, trade show graphics, retail displays, and other customer-facing communications.

 

The Copywriter is expected to digest marketing strategy inputs, collaborate closely with design and marketing teams, and deliver high-quality copy that meets project objectives and resonates with intended audiences. The role also includes editorial responsibilities: reviewing and editing content for tone, clarity, grammar, and consistency with brand standards and style guides, as well as ensuring the accuracy of product names, trademarks, etc. In addition, the role includes reviewing copy and content, particularly on our website, for quality and accuracy.

What you'll do

·         Marketing and instructional copy for web, email and print

·         Concept development for campaigns and product messaging

·         Revisions and refinements based on feedback, data and evolving goals

·         Copyedit and proofread content for web, email, print for quality and accuracy prior to publication or distribution

·         Review and edit copy to ensure clarity, consistency, brand alignment, and correct usage of product names, trademarks, and terminology.

Qualifications

·         Research, create, review/revise, and edit content while maintaining consistent voice and messaging

·         Develop, maintain, and enforce editorial style guidelines, including AP style

·         Strong command of grammar, punctuation, and syntax in accordance with Chicago style

·         Craft audience-specific messages that align with strategic goals

·         Proficiency in editing, proofreading, and content structuring

·         Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including design, marketing, product and web to produce relevant content to meet business goals

·         Familiarity with content management systems, collaborative editing tools, and version control processes
