Background on R&T:
Founded in 1974, R&T Deposit Solutions is a privately held financial technology company based in New York City. A recognized leader in the administration of insured deposit programs, R&T serves over 350 banks and financial institutions with over $179* Billion in assets under administration (AUA).
In 2022, with the support of Estancia Capital Management, R&T acquired Total Financial Solutions, expanding its product offerings, increasing the depth of its management team and operational capabilities. In August 2023, R&T received a strategic investment from GTCR, which acquired a 50% equity stake. The investment by GTCR in R&T is intended to further support and sustain R&T’s high rate of growth in its expanded deposit insurance programs, while also investing in further strengthening leadership, governance, risk management, and technology infrastructure.

Position Summary:
The Product Management Intern will support the product team in designing, building, and enhancing digital products across the organization. This role offers hands‑on experience in product discovery, user research, requirements definition, agile delivery, and performance measurement.
Interns collaborate with product managers, UX designers, data analysts, and engineering teams to help define user stories, document requirements, improve user experience, and contribute to iterative development of high‑quality product solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Support product managers in maintaining and refining product backlogs, including capturing requirements and organizing user stories
- Assist in translating business needs and user insights into clear requirements, acceptance criteria, and lightweight documentation
- Participate in agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, grooming, demos) and help ensure the team has clarity on upcoming work
- Contribute to UX research, journey mapping, and design reviews to help improve usability and overall customer experience
- Analyze user feedback, product adoption, and performance data to recommend enhancements and identify trends
- Support internal communication efforts including product updates, release notes, stakeholder summaries, and training content
- Conduct market/competitive research to inform product decisions and benchmark best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners—including engineering, operations, and data teams—to support high‑quality product delivery
Qualifications:
Required
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Interest in product development, agile methodologies, and digital innovation
- Curiosity, initiative, and willingness to work in a fast‑moving environment
Preferred
- Exposure to product management concepts or coursework
- Experience with UX tools (e.g., Figma), data analysis tools, or basic wireframing
- Interest in financial technology, digital platforms, or enterprise software

This is a paid internship. Interns are paid a range of $20-22 per hour. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This is a hybrid internship based in Midtown Manhattan. The R&T Internship Program runs from approximately June 1, 2026 through August 7, 2026.
