Position Responsibilities

The Titling Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all vehicles funded by Channel and Trio are properly titled with the lien position secured for the duration of the finance period and then released to the customer at end of term. The Titling Specialist will work with a contracted third-party titling company to coordinate titling and lien release as well as with internal sales, underwriting, and funding to ensure the relevant titling requirements are met prior to funding. This role will coordinate with management and lead interactions on complex situations to maximize business opportunities while mitigating risk both pre- and post-funding. 


The ideal candidate will have experience in vehicle financing, titling experience in all states, and familiarity with titling requirements for new/used vehicles. Expectations include the ability to work independently and collaboratively, attention to detail, confidence in reviewing titling paperwork for accuracy, engagement with customers/dealers/brokers/DMVs, and eagerness to be a part of a rapidly growing business.


Key Responsibilities

· Accurately create and update vehicle title records

· Verify all state titling requirements are satisfied to properly secure interest in title

· Understand individual state DMV requirements, paper/electronic titles, and state-to-state transfers of title

· Calculate state/county/local sales tax

· Resolve titling issues/errors in a timely manner

· Generate title delinquency report, with dedicated follow-up to meet SLAs

· Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures

· Foster good working relationships with internal staff and external parties

· Projects and other duties as required

Education & Qualifications

· 2-4 years degree preferred but not required. 

· 2-3 years of experience in financial services with experience with titles. 

· Demonstrated track record of accuracy and productivity.
