About the Role:

The Production Manager at B&G Equipment Company Inc in GA01 will oversee and coordinate all aspects of the manufacturing process within the non-durable goods sector to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective production. This role is pivotal in managing production schedules, optimizing resource allocation, and maintaining high-quality standards to meet customer demands and company goals. The Production Manager will lead a team of supervisors and operators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety compliance. They will collaborate closely with supply chain, quality assurance, and maintenance departments to streamline operations and resolve production challenges. Ultimately, this position is responsible for driving operational excellence that supports the company’s growth and reputation in the marketplace.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management within the non-durable goods manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in managing production teams and meeting production targets.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control standards, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as D365.
  • Advanced degree or professional training in supply chain management or operations.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing continuous improvement programs.
  • Familiarity with environmental and sustainability practices in manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor production schedules to meet customer orders and delivery deadlines.
  • Manage and supervise production staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and workforce planning.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Coordinate with quality control teams to uphold product standards and address any quality issues promptly.
  • Optimize production processes by identifying inefficiencies and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee maintenance of equipment and machinery to minimize downtime and extend operational life.
  • Prepare and manage production budgets, monitor costs, and report on production metrics to senior management.
  • Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure availability of raw materials and supplies.

The Production Manager will utilize leadership and communication skills daily to effectively manage and motivate production teams, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
