In October 1964, seven employees of the U.S. Rubber Company signed the charter for what was then known as Opelika Rubber Workers Federal Credit Union. In 1974, our name changed to Opelika Royal Federal Credit Union. The credit union grew slowly in its early years, reaching $1 million in assets in 1977. In 1987, we became Royal Federal Credit Union and in October 2000 the NCUA granted the credit union a designation allowing us to accept members who live, work,worship, or attend school in Lee County. In 2007 we became Four Seasons Federal Credit Union.
About the Role:
We are seeking an Accounting Clerk-EFT to join our Finance and Insurance team at Drive Thru, DRT. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing electronic fund transfers, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records. As an integral member of our team, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial stability and success of our organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in accounting or related field
- 1+ years of experience in accounting or finance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Experience with electronic fund transfer systems
- Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends
- CPA or other relevant certification
Responsibilities:
- Process electronic fund transfers accurately and efficiently
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Collaborate with other members of the finance team to support the overall financial health of the organization
Skills:
As an Accounting Clerk-EFT, you will utilize your strong attention to detail and accuracy to process electronic fund transfers and reconcile accounts. Your proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software will be essential in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Additionally, your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to collaborate effectively with other members of the finance team to support the overall financial health of the organization. Your ability to analyze financial data and identify trends, as well as your knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements, will be beneficial in assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
