About this position
Job Summary
The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the academic and clinical progress of students in the Radiography
program and for providing advisement to students in this capacity. The Clinical Coordinator manages Radiography student
externships, including site acquisition, site visits, and student placement at sites. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible
for supporting the Program Chair in meeting the educational goals and objectives set forth by NCC while ensuring program
compliance with accreditation standards and state/federal regulations. The Clinical Coordinator serves as an instructor
and is required to fulfill the job requirements of an instructor when working in that capacity. The Clinical Coordinator is a
full-time employee of NCC.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Providing academic advisement to the program’s student population.
- Monitor the clinical competency progression of all students in the program.
- Remediate students who need to retake clinical competencies.
- Provide hands-on training to students who fail clinical competencies.
- Providing clinical advisement to the program’s student population.
- Conduct pre-site visits for any new externship site.
- Conduct site visits during student externships.
- Maintain externship site compliance documentation to demonstrate that a site is eligible to receive an extern.
- Assisting students with job placement after completing the program.
- Instructing lab sessions and administrating online courses as needed.
- Attend faculty meetings, in-service meetings, graduation ceremonies, and other events as required by the College.
- Dress professionally in accordance with faculty dress code.
Experience
- REQUIRED In-field experience: 2+ years
- REQUIRED Instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program: 1+ years
Skills and Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree required: bachelor’s degree
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Knowledge of and ability to apply relevant current education methodologies and techniques
License/Certification
- REQUIRED (prior to offer) A.R.R.T.(R) (ARRT) Certification
- REQUIRED (prior to offer) Radiology Technologist for Nevada license
