For candidates with a combination of knowledge, skills, and experience above the minimum requirements, MWA has the ability to offer a starting salary between the minimum and mid-point, with a possibility of a salary closer to the mid-point.
Job Summary:
Responsible for the painting of buildings, lift and re-pump stations, piping, equipment, and machinery owned by the MWA. Performs various facility-related maintenance activities.
Responsibilities:
Selecting required materials needed to perform work and obtaining quotes for suppliesPrepares surfaces for painting by sanding, sandblasting, pressure washing, scraping, and chemical useUses brushes, rollers, or sprayers to paintPerforms minor carpentry and plumbing tasks as requiredPerforms preventative maintenance tasksPerforms other duties as assigned or requested by supervisorsUtilizes computers, including programs such as work order management software, Microsoft Office including email, and accessing server for use of manuals, photos, job descriptions, and formsSubject to being on-call
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GEDTwo years of technical school or three to five years of experience, preferably in Building MaintenanceKnowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions involved in paintingValid Georgia driver's license with a clean driving record
