POSITION TITLE: Mechanical Engineer (Multiple Openings) DEPARTMENT: Engineering FLSA STATUS: Exempt IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Mechanical Engineering Manager EFFECTIVE DATE: March 01, 2024 REVISION DATE: November 11, 2025 POSITION OVERVIEW Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, the Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the innovation and development of new products, maintaining BOMs and drawings, and supporting C&C Power and its customers with existing products. We are hiring multiple Mechanical Engineers across two experience levels: - Mechanical Engineer I: 1–5 years of experience - Mechanical Engineer II: 5+ years of experience PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES • Design and develop mechanical components and systems ensuring quality and cost effectiveness. • Manage design projects including timelines, milestones, and R&D tracking. • Execute customer-specific orders that require Engineering. • Conduct finite element analysis (FEA), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and other simulations to validate and optimize designs. • Coordinate regulatory testing with UL, ETL, CSA, and other agencies. • Create technical documentation, including drawings, manuals, and specifications. • Stay up to date on new components and products in the industry. • Enter and maintain product bill of materials in the ERP system. • Support production and customers by providing technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance. • Ensure all customers’ needs are met. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs) • Project management / timeline performance / R&D tracking • Product innovation • Design quality • Cost optimization QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS • Proficient with SolidWorks or other 3D design software. • Proficient with AutoCAD or other 2D drawing software. • Experienced with the fabrication of mechanical designs. • Solid understanding of Mechanical Engineering principles. • Knowledge of industrial AC and DC power systems a plus. • Knowledge of FEA and CFD a plus. • Ability to work under minimum supervision. • Ability to relate with all levels within the organization. • Able to work in a team environment. • Strong interpersonal, communication (verbal & written), and organizational skills. EXPERIENCE Mechanical Engineer I: 1–5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field. Mechanical Engineer II: 5+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field. EDUCATION Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent experience. Additional professional accreditation/certification a plus. WORK ENVIRONMENT Office: Clean, well-equipped, professional setting with low noise level. Plant: Moderate exposure. Clean, bright, climate-controlled areas. Travel: Professional or field service PHYSICAL DEMANDS Mechanical assembly of products. Load lifting may be necessary (up to 50 lbs.). Frequent typing and use of mouse and telephone. EMPLOYEES SUPERVISED None DEGREE OF SUPERVISION REQUIRED General — non-routine work is checked occasionally COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Salary Ranges: Mechanical Engineer I: $75,000 – $95,000 annually Mechanical Engineer II: $95,000 – $120,000 annually (Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.)
