As an on-site Electrical Engineer in our Fredericksburg facility, you will play a pivotal role in designing, validating, and troubleshooting analog and digital circuits that power mission-critical products.

  

Key Responsibilities

  • Circuit Design & Analysis
    • Develop and document analog and mixed-signal       schematics and PCB layouts.
    • Perform signal-integrity, noise-analysis, and power-integrity       simulations.
  • Programmable Logic Support
    • Collaborate with FPGA/SoC engineers and embedded       developers to integrate programmable logic into system designs.
    • Flash firmware and programmable-logic bitstreams;       verify logic configurations on the bench.
  • Prototype Development & Test
    • Build and debug prototypes on the lab bench using       oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and precision power       supplies.
    • Develop and execute verification test plans to       validate performance against specifications.
  • Troubleshooting & Root-Cause Analysis
    • Rapidly diagnose hardware faults, intermittent       issues, and system-level failures.
    • Implement corrective actions and document findings       for continuous design improvement.
    • Provide product support for legacy products
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with embedded software engineers,       mechanical engineers, and systems architects to deliver integrated       solutions.
    • Communicate technical status, risks, and schedules       effectively in team meetings and design reviews.
  • Product Support
    • Work with the Production team to support current       product line.
    • Provide feedback to technical questions regarding a       product’s drawing package. 
    • Assist in troubleshooting if required. 
  • Documentation & Compliance
    • Produce clear engineering documentation:       schematics, BOMs, test reports, and user manuals.
    • Ensure designs meet applicable industry standards       and internal quality processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or      related field.
  • 2–5 years (or more) of professional experience in      analog and digital circuit design.
  • Hands-on experience with bench instrumentation:      oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, network/spectrum analyzers, soldering      station, and power supplies.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting complex mixed-signal      electronics on the lab bench.
  • Familiarity with flashing and troubleshooting      FPGA/programmable-logic devices (e.g., Xilinx, Intel/Altera)—must be able      to load and verify bitstreams.
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication      skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to diverse audiences.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance if required by the company  

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with high-speed digital design (DDR,      SERDES) and signal-integrity tools (e.g., Ansys SiWave).
  • Familiarity with embedded-software toolchains (e.g.,      ARM) and communication protocols (UART, SPI, I²C).
