About this position
Description:
We’re looking for a Social Media Account Coordinator who can run day-to-day social strategy and execution and confidently create vlog-style, on-camera content. You’ll plan, produce, publish, and optimize content across platforms while managing calendars, community engagement, and performance reporting. This role blends strong social media operations with a creator mindset. This is a full-time, in-office position based at our ministry campus.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Social Media Management & Strategy
- Own and manage social channels (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook) with a consistent brand voice.
- Build and maintain a content calendar aligned to campaigns, launches, and timely moments.
- Write captions, hooks, titles, and calls-to-action tailored to each platform.
- Coordinate approvals, scheduling, and publishing; ensure deadlines and brand standards are met.
- Monitor trends, platform updates, and competitor activity; recommend content opportunities.
Vlog-Style Content Creation
- Produce short-form and long-form vlog-style content (day-in-the-life, behind-the-scenes, events, explainers, Q&As).
- Appear on camera (or direct on-camera talent) to create authentic, engaging storytelling.
- Capture video on-location and in studio using a phone/camera, lighting, and audio tools.
- Edit content for multiple formats (Reels/TikTok/Shorts and YouTube) with strong pacing, captions, and visual polish.
- Create reusable templates and repeatable content series to scale output.
Community & Brand Presence
- Manage comments and DMs with timely, professional responses; escalate issues as needed.
- Engage with relevant accounts, partners, and community conversations to build presence.
- Support creator/influencer collaborations (briefs, deliverables, posting coordination) when applicable.
Reporting & Optimization
- Track performance weekly/monthly (reach, engagement, watch time, retention, growth, clicks).
- Run basic experiments (A/B hooks, posting cadence, formats) and apply learnings.
- Provide concise insights and recommendations tied to business goals.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years managing social media accounts for a brand, organization, or creator (or equivalent portfolio).
- Demonstrated experience creating vlog-style or personality-led content (portfolio required).
- Comfortable on camera with clear communication and a warm, authentic presence.
- Proficiency with editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, Descript) and native platform tools.
- Strong copywriting skills for hooks, captions, and short-form scripts.
- Organized, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple projects at once.
Nice to Have:
- Experience growing an account organically (TikTok/IG/YouTube).
- Basic motion graphics, thumbnail design, or Canva skills.
- Experience with paid social boosts, creator partnerships, or UGC sourcing.
- Familiarity with analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics, YouTube Studio, Sprout/Hootsuite/Later).
