Position Summary
We are seeking a Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team. This role supports a high risk and medically complex patient population through close collaboration with clinical care teams. The Pharmacist ensures the safe, effective, and cost efficient use of medications while supporting regulatory compliance, patient education, and quality improvement initiatives.
This position plays an important role in TFHC’s integrated care model and supports access to affordable medications through programs such as 340B.
Essential Responsibilities
Ensure the safe, effective, and cost efficient use of medications for a diverse patient population
Maintain accuracy in age specific pharmaceutical care
Provide drug information and medication counseling to clinicians and patients
Comply with HIPAA, accreditation standards, and TFHC policies and procedures
Maintain knowledge of Florida Board of Pharmacy laws, rules, and regulations
Support formulary management and therapeutic substitution initiatives
Maintain working knowledge of the 340B Drug Pricing Program
Supervise pharmacy technicians including training, oversight, and daily workflow monitoring
Assist in developing and maintaining quality improvement programs, clinical services, and pharmacy protocols
Participate in multidisciplinary committees, accreditation readiness activities, and audit processes
Report and document adverse drug reactions and medication errors
Manage pharmacy operations including inventory, supply management, and cash handling
Remain current with CMS regulations and best practices in pharmaceutical care
Qualifications
Active and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in the State of Florida
Current BLS certification
Completion of 340B University OnDemand certificate within the first two weeks of employment, with annual renewal required
Certification to administer immunizations
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred
Medication Therapy Management experience preferred
Pharmacy residency training preferred
Skills & Abilities
Ability to work effectively with diverse social, ethnic, and economic populations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to navigate and document accurately within electronic health record systems
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills
