Turfco is now looking to fulfil a Material handler position.
Job Summary: The Materials Handler will transport materials, supplies, and finished products to designated locations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Store materials in assigned locations.
- Load and unload machines and parts onto or off pallets, skids, trucks, etc.
- Manage inventory by identifying and recording the location of inventory in the computer system.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
- Comply with all company processes, procedures, guidelines, quality directives and safety procedures
- Multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Report damages or shortages to the appropriate person
- Operate a forklift as required to move raw and finished goods
- Assist with other tasks when necessary
- Use Scanners to assist with placing product in the correct locations
- Use computers/tablets/scanners to identify and track locations of product.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Ability to lift up to a maximum of 50 pounds.
- Outstanding organizational and communication skills.
- 1-2 Years of material handling experience
- Forklift experience (sit-down and stand-up)
- Detail-oriented mindset
- Data entry and computer skills
