Procedure Assistant – Interventional / Endovascular Center
Job Summary
We are seeking a Procedure Assistant to provide hands-on clinical and operational support to physicians and nursing staff during interventional radiologic urology procedures. This role supports patient flow, room preparation, and patient safety before, during, and after procedures under the direction of licensed clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nurses with procedural setup, patient preparation, positioning, and room turnover.
- Support patients throughout pre-, intra-, and post-procedure phases, reporting changes or concerns to nursing staff.
- Assist with patient transfers, ambulation, and comfort measures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe procedural environment.
- Stock and prepare procedure and recovery rooms, equipment, and supplies.
- Reinforce nurse-provided instructions and provide courteous patient support.
- Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with the clinical team to support efficient patient flow.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, or similar clinical training preferred
- BLS certification required or obtained within required timeframe
- Prior experience in a procedural, ambulatory surgery, IR, or endovascular setting preferred
Skills & Abilities
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to follow direction and work under supervision of licensed staff
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Physical ability to assist with patient transfers, standing, and lifting
Work Environment
- Ambulatory procedural setting
- Requires standing, walking, lifting, and assisting patients
- Exposure to bodily fluids, medical equipment, and procedural environments
Salary Information
$21.00 - $25.00
