As a Staff Accountant I/II you'll be responsible for day-to-day accounting activities, responding to customers, processing transactions for the month-end and year-end close process, and providing accounting support to the Accounting, Sales, and Operations teams. You'll work with a collaborative team of high performers and contribute to the success of our rapidly growing business.


RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Prepare journal entries, monthly accrual analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, prepaid expense entries and reconciliations, inventory analysis and reconciliations, sales tax filings, and other analysis prepared in accordance with GAAP
  • Assist with monthly close process to generate timely monthly internal financial statements
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies, as needed
  • Daily activity as needed associated with customer transactions, communications, and troubleshooting billings
  • Assist other departments with coding expenses, recording transactions, and manage the bi-weekly payables process.
  • Other specific duties as assigned

Requirements

  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
  • 2+ years' experience with accounts receivable, payables, and general accounting preferred
  • General understanding of accounting principles and procedures (GAAP)
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/ year-end close process preferred
  • Working  knowledge of QuickBooks or NetSuite required
  • Customer centric, self-motivated problem solver
  • Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel - pivot tables, v/h look-up, writing  formulas, and manipulating workbooks with      many formulas
  • Organized  and detail oriented
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong aptitude to learn new software
  • IT/IS background a plus
  • Standard work hours are Monday-Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm
