About this position
Summary: Human Resources Director oversees all aspects of HR operations, payroll administration, and compliance initiatives within Lotus Professional College. The position’s chief duties are effective management of human capital, accurate payroll processing, and adherence to legal, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- HR Strategy:
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Payroll Management:
- Oversee payroll administration, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees.
- Manage payroll systems and software and stay updated on payroll regulations and best practices.
- Address payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees promptly and professionally.
- Compliance and Legal:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations, as well as applicable accreditation. This includes regulations required for the receipt of Title IV funding from the US Department of Education under the Higher Education Act.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
- Conduct audits and reviews to monitor adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Employee Relations:
- Manage employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and investigations.
- Advise and support managers on HR-related issues, conflict resolution, and performance management.
- Talent Acquisition and Retention:
- Oversee recruitment and hiring processes to attract and retain top talent.
- Develop strategies for employee retention, career development, and succession planning.
- Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
- Support career development initiatives and mentorship programs within the organization.
- Benefits Administration:
- Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other fringe benefits.
- Ensure competitive and cost-effective benefit offerings that meet the needs of employees.
- HR Metrics and Reporting:
- Compile and analyze HR metrics and data to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management on HR activities, trends, and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an HR leader, with specific expertise in payroll administration and compliance management. Experience with ADP’s Workforce Now (WFN) Application is required.
- In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or equivalent experience.
