Job Title: Forklift Driver

Reports To: Department Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Hourly


1st Shift

Hours: 6:30am-3:00pm

Overtime required based on production need.

Pay: $17.00/hour


Summary Drives propane powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift,

boom, lift beam and elevating platform, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products,

equipment, or materials by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting

apparatus.

• Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded

pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area.

• Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.

• Inventories materials on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed.

• Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production

schedules.

• Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device.

• Completes forklift checklist in computer.

• Replaces liquefied gas tank.

• May be required to load or unload trailers.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Language Skills

Must be able to speak, read and write in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such

as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,

common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral

form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of computers and

the ability to input data into a computer.
