Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
Pay rate: $23/hour

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Human Resources Assistant aids in the administration of the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources functions and duties. This role will contribute to our high performance culture, core values, and the ongoing development of our team. The HR Assistant carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: departmental development, hiring processes, employee file organization, benefits, administrative support, employment, and on-boarding.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Creates new employee personnel files.
Conducts new employee onboarding appointments.
Oversees new hire benefit enrollments.
Maintains and oversees compliance for all personnel files.
Maintains accurate record keeping with state mandated background checks and compliance for all regulatory matters regarding employees.
Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
Takes notes for HR team meetings.
Conducts exit interviews, as assigned by HR Manager or HR Senior Director.
Schedules meetings for employee investigations and takes notes, as assigned by HR Manager or HR Senior Director.
Prints reportable events, med errors, and incident reports for CEO to review.
Receives and processes Emergency Loan applications and inquiries from employees.
Sends prompts for all staff’s probationary and annual performance reviews.
Assists the Recruiter through initial candidate screenings and completion of reference and background verifications.
Assists the HR Coordinator during Open Enrollment with tasks as assigned.
Covers the reception area and phones as well as any administrative duties as needed.
Assists with special projects and events.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 1 year proven relevant experience within a professional office setting preferred.
Attention to detail & highly organized.
Professional phone manner a must.
Strong verbal and written communication.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Upbeat, resourceful and eager to create a lasting first impression.
Must be team-orientated, trustworthy and display strong follow-through.
Provide effective communications both internally and externally to maintain our professional image.
Ability to transition from one task to the next seamlessly.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma required.
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related field preferred.
One year of office experience in HR preferred.
Valid U.S Driver’s License.
Satisfactory driving record per agency’s insurance company standards.
Ability to speak, read and write in English.
