GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Restaurant Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing front-of-house service in the restaurant, and ensuring a consistent, high-quality guest experience that reflects our brand standards. The Lead ensures guests are warmly welcomed, attended to promptly, and satisfied with their selections and service. This role includes coaching team members on brand and service standards, resolving guest issues as they arise, and leading daily operations with professionalism and care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the restaurant with guidance and direction from the General Manager.
  • Responsible for monitoring service, including timely seating, food and beverage delivery, and attentive service.
  • Ensure front-of-house operations align with company and brand standards.
  • Provide ongoing leadership to front-of-house team members, fostering a positive work environment and high morale.
  • Model warm, sincere, and attentive service at all times, setting the standard for guest interactions.
  • Schedule all front-of-house restaurant team members according to business needs and occupancy levels, ensuring appropriate coverage and efficient labor costs.
  • Approve timecards and process payroll items for all restaurant front-of-house staff accurately and on time.
  • Take tables and serve guests, and step in to support the team during peak times or staffing shortages to ensure excellent service.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to implement promotions and service enhancements to drive food and beverage sales.
  • Help monitor departmental financial performance and identify process improvements.
  • Manage seating flow, monitor meal durations, flip tables efficiently, and maintain an organized waitlist when needed.
  • Address guest concerns and feedback in a timely, solution-oriented manner to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Provide team members with guidance on service standards and performance expectations. Collaborate with Human Resources on coaching and counseling as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES – Assists in day-to-day management of front of house team members in the restaurant.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous experience in the Food and Beverage industry required.
  • Previous supervisor experience preferred.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers.
  • Thorough organization and time management skills.
  • Must exemplify a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Must be flexible in schedule (nights, weekends, Holidays).
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
Physical Environment:
  • Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
  • Must be able to stand and exert well placed mobility for up to 8 hours.
  • Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 50 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion.
  • Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment as well as operating phones, computers, fax machines, copiers, and other office equipment.
