About the Role:

The Production Supervisor I plays a critical role in overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production output. This position is responsible for managing a team of production workers, coordinating workflow, and maintaining adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements. The supervisor will monitor production schedules, troubleshoot operational issues, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize productivity. They serve as a key liaison between management and production staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment. Ultimately, the role ensures that production goals are met on time while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or higher in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • Basic knowledge of production processes, equipment operation, and safety standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Ability to read and interpret production schedules, work orders, and technical documents.
  • The role requires the ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Bilingual Preferred (Spanish)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or related discipline.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency with production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certification in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production staff to meet production targets and quality standards.
  • Monitor production processes and equipment to ensure efficient operation and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to promote skill development and performance improvement.
  • Identify and resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain workflow continuity.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to support operational goals.
  • Maintain accurate production records and prepare reports for management review.
  • Enforce company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance within the production area.
