Signature Homes is currently seeking an Accounting Intern in person, in our Hoover, AL office to work 30-40 hours per week mid May until mid August. The right candidate will be a detail-oriented person who is committed to delivering excellence and able to achieve consistent and accurate work by assisting in data entry, account reconciliations, invoice processing and month-end support. This internship presents an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in accounting within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and recording of journal entries, while ensuring meticulous reconciliation of the general ledger.
- Provide support to team during the month-end close-out process to facilitate timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Help with accounts payable and receivable tasks including invoice processing and payment reconciliations.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or associate degree program in accounting, finance or related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting concepts and procedures.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Proficient in organizing and prioritizing tasks, with a demonstrated ability to thrive in both a team environment and when working independently
