(T&M) has been one of the largest distributors of natural stone slab and quartz surfacing products, as well as a manufacturer of poured-in-place terrazzo and resinous flooring. To expand our existing and new markets for our Resinous Flooring division, we are looking for a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager who will directly lead the growth of our Resinous Product line. This role is responsible for identifying profitable business opportunities and developing long-term business growth strategies that produce consistent revenue streams for the division. The ability to assess business risks by analyzing financial, statistical, and economic data will be key to the role's success.

Requirements:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accountable for the development and expansion of the Resinous Flooring Division.
  • Build solid relationships with customers, distributors, and internal sales and marketing teams.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the company's product offerings to be a source of information for customers, the sales team, and technical staff.
  • Develop sales action plans to facilitate the implementation of new product launches, including outlining new customer prospecting strategies.
  • Help guide marketing efforts by presenting market/competitive information to leadership as well as to the marketing team and suggest strategies to expand market opportunities.
  • Prepare documentation required for requests for proposals (RFPs).
  • Research emerging trends and recommend new company offerings to satisfy marketplace/customers' needs.
  • Research and identify new markets by partnering with sales, marketing, customer service, and management teams.
  • Provide advice on product development, distribution, and promotion strategies.
  • Conduct presentations to promote the brand and product profile to customers, sales teams, and management.
  • Build and manage a cross-functional sales team to guide and nourish sustainable, long-term growth.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in a related field with a minimum of five years of related product line experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Resinous/Industrial flooring products and marketplace
  • Proven business development and sales and marketing experience.
  • Proficient in all relevant Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills.
  • Effective communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Proven history of growing and developing new markets.
  • Proficient at analyzing data, preparing reports, and communicating data in a way that leads to team understanding of the strategic recommendations.
