Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Career Transition Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and a passion for helping individuals navigate career transitions. The Career Transition Specialist will work with clients to identify their career goals, develop job search strategies, and provide support throughout the job search process.

Responsibilities:


- Conduct career assessments to identify students' strengths, skills, and interests

- Develop individualized career plans and job search strategies

- Provide guidance and support throughout the job search process, including resume and cover letter writing, interview preparation, and networking

- Assist clients in identifying and applying for job openings

- Provide ongoing support and follow-up to ensure students success in their new roles

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records

-Conduct mock interviews to prepare the students for up coming interviews


Requirements:


- Bachelor's degree in a related field

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Experience working with individuals in career transition

- Knowledge of job search strategies and resources

- Strong organizational and time management skills

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Minimum: Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, communications, or closely related field; or Associates Degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, communications, or closely related field and two years related experience.

Preferred: Minimum plus previous Job Corps experience.


Knowledge: Sound knowledge of case management, career counseling, employment counseling and job search, job preparation and development techniques. Must be able to effectively communicate with culturally disadvantaged and minority youth. Must possess a valid state driver's license. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Must obtain and maintain valid CPR/FA certification. Good organizational skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students.



Salary Information

$51000.00 - $53000.00 Annual Salary
